Here is a great story from Stephanie Freed; I
have changed the names for security reasons:
The Lord is faithful to the ministry of Rapha House and the girls we serve! To be very honest with you, this ministry is heartbreaking in so many ways. The stories of our girls are heartbreaking to begin with. In addition, many of them struggle with the healing process. As I have communicated before, there are many reasons that some of these traumatized girls return to the destructive lifestyle of prostitution. One of our Rapha girls, Indepa, has been struggling with this difficult process of putting her past behind her. She is full of hurt and anger, and these strong feelings coupled with the addiction to the drugs which the brothel owner forced her to take, has made the healing process so difficult for Indepa. But many Christians have been praying for Indepa! Recently, I received a message from our Cambodian director. He said that Indepa had a breakthrough in her healing. She burned the clothes that she had worn when she was prostituted, and said that she wanted a new name to go along with her new life. She wants to be called "Do-Kett". To some, this "ceremony" that Do-Kett initiated may seem like a small thing. Truly, it is just a step in her healing process on the road to true freedom. Do-Kett's journey is not over. She and the other Rapha girls need you to lift them up in prayer fervently. This is, after all, spiritual warfare at its strongest. Thank you for your continued financial and prayer support of this ministry. Without you, we could not reach out to these girls with Christ’s message of hope and healing. --------------------- We also encourage all of you to write to Stephanie Freed (sfreed@arm.org) -- USA Director of Rapha House, or Kerry Decker (raphahouse@pacbell.net) Dir. of the Rapha House Freedom Foundation, and request their email and/or postal updates. ARM-Rapha, 3127 Hwy K Back to top We do not have a report this
month from Alfredo José Aparicio, our hard-working brother in
Mexico. Pray for him, please; it may be the work has so
overwhelmed him he was unable to file a summary.
Thanks!
In this spot, allow me to share
some good news from ARM Board member, Reggie Thomas, who just returned
from a crusade in Cuba led by his "White Fields
Evangelism." This is appropriate
because Alfredo's work in Mexico includes an outreach to Cuba.
Here is a summary from Reggie, followed by a picture of an
ARM baptism in Cuba:
Dear Christian Friends: In answer to
your prayers Evangelists: Boyce Mouton, John Bliffen, Jack Bliffen,
Lydia Abbott, and yours truly traveled safely to Cuba and completed
our mission. We carried with us 3 of Joe Garman's portable
baptistries. God enabled us to get all 3 into the nation and into
the hands of the Christians without any problems. We also used the
baptistries while there to baptize 6 precious souls.
We were also able to take 2 projectors and 2
sets of the Jule Miller filmstrip series into the country without
problems. The Christian Churches of Cuba will immediately begin
using these as a precious evangelistic tool to win more to
Christ.
We were able to successfully teach the
Preachers of Cuba in a Preacher's seminar. 17 attending in Havana,
13 in Guiness, and 2 plus all church members in San Antonio.
The Christian Churches of Cuba reported 62
souls baptized into Christ during April, May, and June of this year.
We praise God for the faithfulness of all Christians during these times of
great difficulty. We praise God for the safe return of all of us
with the exception of Lydia Abbott who has chosen to remain for a time as
she is enjoying a new mission in Cuba, that of working with Young
People. Quite a number of children and older youth are now attending
and Lydia has a special appeal to the youth. Pray for her as she
continues in her mission.

Back to top Report From Dr. Nicholas E. Alyoshin This is my brief report for July 2009. 1. IMMERSIONS. One of the leaders of the Krasnodar swastika-worshipping pagans had a brain insult. With this the God Almighty turned the man to Christ. We immersed the heathen leader and received from him the secret lists of the names of those persons, whom the gentiles thought to be “the enemies of Russia” and whom they “convicted to the capital punishment." 2. PRISONS. The DOM ARM ministers had this month 12 visits to different penitentiary institutions. We spread there about 100 items of clothes, as humanitarian donations. The non-adult convicts twice in a short time ran away from the special camp in Pereyaslovskaya village of the Bryukhovetsk district of the Krasnodar Territory (150 km N from Krasnodar): 19 boys ran away on 27.06.2009 and 6 girls ran away on 06.07.2009. The Russian Federal TV declared in July, that the Government had been actively restoring the industry in prison camps (i.e. the slave labor), as the “anti-crisis measure” because labor was very cheap and profitable in prisons! The Krasnodar Territory ombudsman Kozitskiy published the data, that in 2008, more, than 155,000 persons were incarcerated in the police directorates during the temporary police detention. This figure means, that more, than 3% of the Krasnodar Territory population were in the police detention. Except them, there were about 25,000 persons, convicted by courts, and about 40,000 arrested by courts for investigation in Krasnodar Territory.
3. MISSION TRIPS. Bro Andrew Novosyolov, immersed by me in DOM ARM, came to Geneva (Switzerland) and took part in the so called “Geneva in Flames” – a number of events, dedicated to the 500-year anniversary of John Calvin, born on 10.07.1509. Novosyolov had spent about 3 years in Strasbourg (France) and then went to Geneva (without any Russian or French official document, only with the DOM ARM certificate, that he had been persecuted in Russia on Religious basis and could be murdered, if returned to Russia). Andrew also had no financial resource. But Jesus helped him to take part in the biggest European Evangelical event of 2009! 4. MEDITATIONS. The celebrations of the USA Independence Day on 04.07.2009 made me have a special sermon, in which I developed the idea, that the “Declaration of Independence” was a powerful theological document. “All men are created equal. They are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”, etc. Thus, the human rights are the Spiritual gift of the Creator! This idea is very important for working with numerous kinds of “human rights activists”, “rights defenders”, etc. Usually these people say, they are “agnostics”. I say to them: “Read the Declaration of Independence – the human rights were endowed by the Creator! Thus you worship “the unknown God” (in Greek: “agnostoo theoo”). Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you” (Acts, 17:23)”. This method of apostle Paul in the combination with the Declaration of Independence is the powerful approach to convert the human rights activists. And many of them were immersed in DOM ARM. 5. DIVINE ACTION. The Department of Education and Science of the Krasnodar Territory Governor Administration with the special official letter invited me to have the talks with the chief of its’ branch for the scientific and technical policy Mr.. V.P. Krylov. Such talks took place on 09.07.2009. For ten years this Department did not want to contact me, declaring me to be “the Religious fanatic”. But now the authorities of Russia understood the very sharp situation with a very low level of the science and technology development in this country. Thus the state authorities made the territorial Department contact me to learn, if my international Christian connections could help to improve the situation. For many years the Russian authorities have been “like the deaf adders” (Ps., 58:4). But the God Almighty has “broken their teeth” (Ps., 58:6) and made them bow in front of the Christ. This is the Divine Action, indeed. 6. YOUTH MINISTRY. The “NIKA” Ministry in July organized the Christian youth club in the town Slavyansk-on-Kuban (the district center in Krasnodar Territory, 70 km W from Krasnodar). 7. PUBLIC RELATIONS. On 03.07.2009 I took part in the inauguration of the new Krasnodar “Rotary” club President Mr.. V. Martyshin. He personally invited me to come, saying, he was interested very much in the prison ministry and in DOM ARM activity. On 22.07.2009 I met in Krasnodar with Mr.. N. Bliznakov – the chief of the Bolgarian NCO – NGO national net against corruption. On 04.07.2009 my sister and DOM ARM Moscow representative Nathaly Koff took part in the official party to celebrate the US Independence Day at the “Spaso-house” (the Moscow residence of the US Ambassador in Russia) and had a hand-shake with the Ambassador. On 07.07.2009 the US President Obama was in Moscow and met the leaders of the opposition political parties. For the first time to such a meeting one of the co-chairmen of the “Right Case” party – L. Gozman – was invited. I am one of the members of the founding Congress of this party (16.11.2008), which embraced the socially active people with the Christian Democratic ideas. On 02.07.2009 bro Andrew Novosyolov, being in Geneva, had a meeting with Peter Kenney – the editor of the International Journal “ENI” (Ecumenical News International). Andrew informed Kenney about the situation with Religious Freedoms in Russia and about the DOM ARM activity. On 25.07.2009 I and some other members of our chaplaincy took part in the public picket to defend the Religious Freedoms. It took place in the centre of Krasnodar city – in the Krasnaya street in 200 m from the building of the territorial Legislature. 8. REPRESSIONS. During the night from 01.07.2009 to 02.07.2009 the unknown people again were throwing the stones into our yard and house. During the night from 20.07.2009 to 21.07.2009 the unknown man tried to crawl over our fence into the yard and was stopped, when we – by chance – noticed him. The act of an information war took place in July: the article about me “Alyoshin Nikolay Evgenievich” (in Rus.) in the internet encyclopedia “Wikipedia” was destroyed by the unknown persons. On 04.07.2009 the daughter of bro L. Burlakov (one of the members of our chaplaincy, immersed by me) – Anna Burlakova, who was the photo-correspondent of the “Kuban News” newspaper – was not permitted to be among the correspondents to follow the visit of the prime-minister to the Krasnodar Territory. On 01.07.2009 the Krasnodar Territory court confirmed the conviction of two nephews of sheikh Hassan Gurji-ogly; but the Religious and human rights activists (including me and Hassan) and even the official advocates were not let be present in the court room during the session. It is the brutal violation of the right for defense (both in Russian and international law). 9. SUPPORT. We received the June ARM support through “We-Go” system of bro Max Goins OK. We received a box from our Moscow branch (N. Koff) with clothes, collected by the women of Moscow Western Embassies, to spread among the convicts. The letters, e-mails and phone calls of support came also from Rod Farthing, N. Plutenko, R. Ladeinde (USA); Dr. G. Leiser (Germany); E. Novozhilow (Poland); A. Hamzin (Crimea, Ukraine); A. Novosyolov (Switzerland). We sent to A. Novosyolov a special letter, asking the Geneva transport company to let him use the public city transport free of charge. This document, issued by me, as the DOM ARM chaplain, let bro Novosyolov, who has a very poor financial situation, to move all over Geneva. In Jesus our hope!
