The Church celebrate its first Christmas and
Thanksgiving last Dec. 4, 2005 with overcrowded
attendance more than double from the regular
attendance of 35-40 every Sunday.
2. The team
moved to Gen. San. City last Dec. 13 for ARM
Christmas Presentation. The inmates felt the
Love and Care of the mission and appreciate very
much the presence of the ARM. The team distributed
Christmas gifts; used clothes relief goods,

were baptized.

Jail Ministries. The most active congregation
helping and assisting the ARM Jail Ministries in
Tagum City Jail and 2 Provincial
Jails.
5. Dec. 20
the Team had a big Christmas presentation @ Maa
Jail. The attendance overwhelmed the chapel.
Public officials, male warden and female warden
were the keynote speakers. All of them were very
thankful for the active programs of the religious
sectors especially the ARM Prison Outreach. We had
delicious Christmas lunch, distribution of used

ex-convict from BJMP- Digos City baptized by the
team. He married here and put up an electrical
shop; he was a blessing in Carmen Church for God
used him for helping this congregation. At 1:30

What an encouraging report from prisons
around the world. In His Service, Mary
Lou Brainerd
Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year 2006 to everyone. Thank you
very much for sending me funds for organizing
Christmas parties for people in the prisons. It
means a lot to us and to the prisoners too. I
spent this sum of money to organize the Christmas
parties in three prisons as
follows:
1)
Juvenile Detention Center, 2)
Phayao Central Prison, 3)
Fang District Prison.
I used the money to buy things
that are needed for everyday life, which were
soaps, toothpaste, detergent, sweets, and oranges.
I put all these things in a bag to make a gift
bag. I had altogether 350 gift bags; I then
gave one to each prisoner. It seemed that everyone
was happy to get a present from us this year,
thanks to you. Even though we could
not give presents to all the prisoners in the
three prisons, we asked the prison administrative
to choose the prisoners who did not have any
relatives coming to visit them and who were in
need first. I do hope that next year, with God’s
help, we will be able to give presents to all of
the prisoners. I thanked you very
much also for the money you sent to me for
printing the three Bible study books. Right now,
we are in process of having the books printed (the
printer wants us to make some changes concerning
the form of the book and the covering page so that
the books will be nicer and more modern before
they are printed).
This year, I intend to include
Fang District Prison in our prison work too. At
first, I planned to include Teung District Prison
which is on the East side of the country close to
Laos border, but while I was praying for the final
decision on this matter, I received a letter from
the prisoners from Fang District Prison who asked
us to go visit them and to teach them about the
gospel of God as no one went there to help them.
Therefore, I decided to go to Fang Prison instead.
Please pray for us in this matter
too. Fang District Prison is
located in the northernmost part of Thailand
- close to Burma border - about 150
kilometers north of Chiang Mai. There are about
880 prisoners there, 802 are men and 78 are women.
These prisoners are from different tribes: Lahu,
Chinese, Aka, Thai Yai, Hmong, Burmese and locals.
The prison itself is pretty full of trees and the
weather is cool all year
round. As always, I would like
to thank you for all the support you gave us last
year. It was a great help to us and it meant a lot
to us. Because of your help, we were able to serve
God successfully and efficiently. I would like to
thank all of you, Bill VP, Bill ARM and Ref. Rod
and all ARM staff for all the help we
got. May God’s richest and finest of
blessing be with you and your team to have good
health and happiness
always.
Sincerely yours, Boonlerd
Chomphucheeree
