Cambodia
Excerpts from our Cambodian's February letter: All the girls moved to the new building on 18th March 2006. They are very happy and all staff are working very hard for the moving and relocation of the things and materials to the place that is need to be. (Newest picture of the Rapha House is attached. Bro. Garman, his wife Linda, and daughter Stephanie are on their way to Cambodia for the dedication on April 8.) There were 3 girls accept to stay at Rapha House during the period from 23rd February to 23rd March 2006, 2 of them are trafficked girls sent from Thailand. One of them is the sister of Sopheap that was abused by her step-father and grandfather; she then went to Thailand. She was one of the girls that we had hoped to rescue when Stephanie was in Cambodia in February but she went to Thailand. All Children in center receive hygiene materials once every month; this month they also got new training on how to keep the center nice and clean and how to use new equipment in the new building. There are 32 girls as of 23rd March 2006. ARM Rapha House is reaching out to the prisoners in Cambodia. Twice this month they met with 4 different prisoners. This month the prisoners need eye class and bible for reading. Each time the team also gives them something to support their living. Keep praying for the open door to the prisoners; we are allowed very little time to meet them each time. Staff and Volunteers of ARM Rapha House continue to raise awareness of trafficking and violations to 12 groups of children and young adults -- 44 times. There were 145 participants at the program, most of them are children and young adults. The outreach includes Bible study, HIV/AIDS awareness, and drug abuse prevention. There are many problems of drug abuse among high school students and youth in the community. Pray that the out reach from the team of community will be helpful to those people. All the girls are very happy with the new location; all staff have much more room to work. Here is Stephanie's most recent post from the web site: Dear Christian Friends: God is blessing the work of Rapha House! Thank you for allowing us to serve these girls through your generous financial and prayer support. This month, the girls will move to the new compound. In April, the Cambodian people celebrate "Khmer New Year." It certainly will be a new start for the ministry of Rapha House as well! With the larger facility and expanded area for classrooms and technical training, we will be able to offer the girls who come through our doors better opportunities for their futures. Thank you for making this possible! Kim Yin is a precious eight-year-old who came to Rapha House last month. Our staff was able to rescue her before her stepfather sold her to traffickers. When our staff learned about this little girl, they stepped in and literally snatched her from a terrible life of slavery. I was so blessed to be part of Kim Yin’s rescue. Kim Yin came to us dressed in nothing more than torn rags. She was filthy and terrified. The RH staff cleaned her up, fed her, and clothed her. I have never seen a more ravenous child, and I remember wondering what this little girl had been eating. It was a joy to see her embraced by the other girls, and happily playing games in the front yard just hours after her arrival. There was such a contrast between the terrified child Kim Yin had been, and the giggling little girl she became after she realized she was safe. Thank you for the love you show to all the Kim Yins of Rapha House through your support. Blessings to
you! ARM is ministering to needy girls in Cambodia through the Rapha House. These girls have been victimized in the human slave trade. Some are as young as 8 years of age. As our home grows in the new building, we will need more operational support. Thanks! Gifts of any size may be sent to ARM, Rt. 5 Box 159, Salem, MO 65560. www.raphahouse.org Back to top ARM's Branch Ministry in Thailand Report From Boonlerd Chomphukeeree -February

1. On February 6, 2006, we went to the juvenile detention center. This month might be the last time we would see the children in two units: the first welcome unit and the training unit in one place because next month the children in the first unit will be moved to the new first welcome unit that is far away. 2. On 20 February, 2006, we went to Phayao Prison. We divided our group into two groups: one for female section and the other for male section. 3. On 27 February 2006, we went to Fang District Prison. When we arrived, there was a man came running to see us and he asked for me so I asked him what I could do for him. He cried and started to tell me his story. He said that he was a Christian teacher of a Christian church somewhere and one day he organized a Christmas party in the village and there was a fight in the teenager group there and one person died. He who was the Christian teacher and who organized the party was hold responsible for that sad event. Therefore he was caught by the police and has been in prison since. I can see that he feels terrible and is very scared. I would like everyone to pray for him. 4. On 24 February 2006, we went to visit one of the prisoners who has been released from the prison in Chiang Mai Province to give him moral support and to encourage him. I feel that giving help to people who have been released from prisons is like taking people from one side of the river to other side of the river and then tell them to have a new life and to be a good person….then we leave them there alone to fight for their life until they are exhausted…. In my mind, I would like to give them help that they can support themselves and live a normal in the society. I believe that everyone living on this world can be a good person if they have a chance to start a new life and get good advice and help that they need to begin with. 5. From 28 February to 3 March 2006, we organized a short bible study for 25 persons: 10 women and 15 men from 3 provinces 7 districts and 11 villages. May God bless you all. With love in Jesus the Lord, Boonlerd Chomphukeeree ARM's Branch Ministry in Mexico Report From Alfredo José Aparicio -February 2006 I rejoice in the Lord, as I greet you, since our efforts
are spreading in marvelous ways. February was a very much blessed month in
the ministry. We have six millions of people living in Iztapalapa County
alone, in Mexico City. This is the County with most delinquency and drugs,
and all sorts of social problems. Also, this is the County with two of the
biggest jails in Mexico City, and in the whole Country of Mexico. We have
lots of alcoholic anonymous places, as well as other social aid offices.
We have increased our number of students to 173 at the jails in Santa
Martha and Reclusorio Oriente. With the alcoholic anonymous and neurotic
anonymous we have reached the quantity of 620 new students. God's Word is
guiding and encouraging these students living in true chaos. We are
helping these people, but we must make good use of our judgment, patience,
and love. These people really need the Lord in their destroyed lives! It
is tiring working with them, but results are great, and that encourages us
to continue serving them! Changes are great! My Herat rejoices because of
the great help you are to the ministry in México. Please keep up the good
work. We need your prayers, as they are dynamite in reaching the lost
souls of this nation, Mexico. With great gratitude in the name of our Lord Jesus, Alfredo José Aparicio Back to top ARM's Branch Ministry in Ghana Report from Vanessa Sesi - February 2006 Our activities began in February since the prison permit was released at the end of January. For the Nsawam females, I was told to hang on as the chief officer at the prison wants to reshuffle the program. I have started work with the females at James Fort; I had 29 females present. I was able to get some devotionals for the inmates as well as give the Bible study material for us to start our Bible studies. With the males we had some encouraging news since ten inmates accepted Christ and 40 rededicated their lives to Christ. A total of 120 were present. At James Camp,a total of 92 were present; 17 people accepted Christ and 32 rededicated their lives to Christ. At James Fort, 98 were present and 8 gave their lives to Christ and 35 rededicated their lives to Christ. One of the inmates of the male is applying for a redress of his case, please be praying with him. It is our prayers that there would be a change in the living conditions of the inmates at the James Fort prison. Lets continue to pray and deliberate on means of affecting these lives for Christ. God bless you. Vanessa. Back to top Readers' Responses to ARM Email Updates Dear Rod, You met me in Searcy Arkansas prison Workshop. Anyway, I'm doing personal ministry in Iraq now. 2. PRISONS. One of our brethren is now in the prison in Moscow area; I visited the prison to investigate this case. For the whole week (09 - 16.02.06) the mutiny was taking place in Kostroma prison camp for non-adult convicts; one of the convicts was killed. 3. TURKS. The official Governor newspaper Kuban News" published on 04.02.2006 the article, saying the Ahiska-Turk organization ( Vatan", i.e. Motherland") in Krasnodar Territory was in a kind of a contact with the British spies, disclosed in Moscow. On 20.02.2006 I managed to receive the copy of the official court protocol of the interrogation of the non-adult witnesses (two Turkish girls) with my participation during the process over the icon worshiping murderer of the Turkish women. The interrogation (with me, as a pedagogist) took place on 15.06.2005. The copy was given to me by the Krasnodar Territory court office. 4. MISSION TRIPS. We continued to have the correspondence with Jason Shaver and Max Goins to prepare their group possible visit to Krasnodar and to Ahiska Turks. The documents and materials, sent by us from Krasnodar, have helped to my dearly beloved brother G. Rakhimov in Tashkent to have the personal contact with the Tashkent area Governor - Mirzmashrab Kuchchiev. 5. MEDITATIONS. The darkness is becoming more and more tense; thus, many Christians are thinking now over Rom. 13. It is clear to the born above Christians, that Rom.13 can be understood from the point of view of the Rev. 13 only. Because all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the beast), whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" (Rev., 13:8). Even those, who are enlisted in the lists of congregations, registered in the state offices, shall worship the beast. And their number will be the huge majority. But the saints, written in the book of the Lamb, shall eternally proclaim the eternal gospel in any circumstances! 6. DIVINE ACTION. One of our brethren was in a car accident on 15.02.2006 - by the Grace of the Lord he is alive and without the injuries continues to participate in the Great Commission. We prayed to our Lord to liberate mr. Gubin (our chaplaincy contact, the chairman of the charity organization to help the children of the refugees in Chechnya) and his property, arrested by Krasnodar police. On 16.02.2006 Gubin rang me up and said, that our prayers had been replied: he, his wife and property were released. 7. STUDENT WING. Our daughter, Nike, (our student wing leader) took part in the all-Russia Conference in Moscow (end of January - beginning of February), including big Evangelization near Red Square during Putin's press-conference in Kremlin. Some students (including Nike) were for a short time taken into the police, interrogated, enlisted, and then released. 8. PUBLIC ACTIVITY. On 13.02.2006 I spoke in the big conference on the perspectives of the youth movement in Russia. The movements of political, civil, religious kinds were discussed. On 28.02.06 I spoke during the opening ceremony of the personal art exhibition of Daya Petrosova in the Krasnodar Territory state art museum. Daya was immersed by us on 25.12.05, and in a month only she received the possibility to have her own personal exhibition (which she tried to organize unsuccessfully for some years). All her paintings are connected with the Spiritual view on the world. 9. REPRESSIONS. The Krasnodar city authorities prohibited to organize the public picket against torments and fascism on 12.02.2006. 10. SUPPORT. Max Goins sent to us (through "We-Go" Mission) our support for January 2006. Some letters, parcels and phone calls of support were also received from USA, Germany, etc. A very important parcel was received from pastor G. Leiser (Germany) through Mr. Brasovskiy (a Roman catholic, who agreed to be a messenger). In Jesus our hope! Sincerely, DOM ARM chaplain, Nicholas E.
