Dear Sourm is our Cambodian Director of the Rapha House.  Excerpts from his letter received on March 23rd follow:

-American Rehabilitation Ministries Rapha House has exceeded its target of supporting 45 girls at the center and 10 girls at the Haft way Home total; there are 55 girls at the center.

-Dedication: Church building and floating House for counseling dedication were held on Friday 9th of March 2007 with Joe Garman and Kerry Decker present.  There were 450 people in attendance with the provincial governor participating. They all were very happy to see the progress of the work that Rapha House has been doing related to the after care program for girls who earlier been trafficked.

-Workshop: There 20 participants of staff from Rapha House and other NGOs participating in the short course of counseling conducted by Mr. Kerry Decker. The course was conducted in order to help all staff to work effectively for the girls. All staff are very happy in the sessions they learned.

-The women group: There are 14  women led by Stephanie to see the program and help the girls on individual counseling and group counseling.  There are many activities going on during the time that the team came, that is really supportive for all the girls and their healing. There were many sessions with the team teaching the girls about the love of Jesus and personal testimony. All staff and the team are very happy together.

Plans are being finalized to build a SECOND house on the Rapha compound to increase our capacity up to 100.  We have had as many as 60 girls in the home built for 48.  The staff has been preparing in every way possible to be able to care for the additional girls; we hope to begin construction soon.  About $55,000 will be needed for this expansion.

ARM is ministering to needy girls in Battambang, Cambodia, through the Rapha House. These girls have been victimized in the human slave trade.  Some are as young as 5 years of age. As the number of girls grows in our new building, we will need more operational support. Thanks!

Gifts of any size may be sent to ARM Rapha House, Rt. 5 Box 159, Salem, MO 65560.

ARM's Branch Reports receives encouraging responses
Dear Joe Garman:   Recently Glen Gibson from Team Expansion came and visited us and brought a baptistry with him for the prison ministry here in Cebu City that Mrs D. Labrado conducts. Thank you so much for sending that. Mrs Labrado was very happy to receive it and our students from Central Philippine Bible College helped to take it up to the prison where it is held for future use. Students from both Bible Colleges (CBS and CPBC) help her with this ministry.  Thank you so much for sending it.
May God continue to bless you ministry.

ARM's Branch Ministry in Mexico
Recent Report From Alfredo Jose Aparicio

Dear brethren in Christ Jesus,

I am pleased to share with you that we had many gospel activities and work during February.  With the help gotten from adults and young people, we have gone out the streets and have evangelized house-to-house.  We handed out 7000 tracts.  We had Christian plays performed in the open, Christian clowns, and preached short sermons (20 minutes each).  We have done these activities every weekend, near a Christian church. For example, on the last weekend of February, we performed near the Christian Church located in Satélite, in Cuernavaca. We had children, young people, adults, and elderly.  The total number was 150 new people.

Results were as follows:

  • 38 baptisms
  • 1,712 new people enrolled in our Bible Courses
  • We sent via snail mail a total of 4,792 envelopes, which cost us $3,938.63
  • 52 of our students graduated in different levels of our courses.  These people are living in Mexico, Guatemala, Cuba, Honduras, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia.
  • We gave a man who belongs to the Opus Dei a whole Bible in MP3 format.  He is enjoying it very much.  We cannot mention his name due to security reasons.  He is 61 years old.  We are praying so that God's Word gets so deep in his Heart and he repents and gets baptized.  All the members in his family belong to the Opus Dei.  This is one of the groups within the Catholic Church that has power.  There are other groups there that need Christ too.

We have two radio programs a week.  One is broadcasted through Radio Chapultepec (FM) on Monday evening (7:00 p. m.) and the other one is broadcasted through Radio Mexicana (AM) on Saturday morning (8:30 a. m.)  We have counseled a lot of people because of these broadcastings.  Most of them are men who have been beaten by their wives and abandoned children.

Let me share with you one of the letters which encouraged us a lot. "Dear friends at the Bible Correspondence School, I wish to share with you how much you have benefited my family and me.  I faced darkness at a very tender age at Comayagüela. I left my family when I was 8 years old since my family was a complete disaster.  My family was immersed in drugs, alcohol, beatings, fights, and family violence.  I came to live with a lady for two years.  At first, she treated me nice, but she taught me how to do adult things and I was learning many bad things with her.  I learned and did many evil things.  One day, I was in Tegucigalpa driving a taxi and a man from Mexico shared God's Word with me.  He handed me a tract entitled "A Love Story". I read it time alter time until I received your first Bible Correspondence lessons. You are so wise and took me one step at a time showing me God's Love and Kindness:  His truth.  I am enclosing my Lesson # 48, but the most important thing is that now I know how to live. I am sharing God's Word with people I encounter. I am eagerly sharing Him.  I am prospering now!  I met a young lady who is studying your courses and we meet and study together. This has been going on for six months already.  We see each other daily. We Hill get marry in January of next year.  I thank you and God as everything is so different in my life now. Let me state that I just want to live doing good things now.  I want to please God and love my neighbors.  I thank God as He made it possible for us to get in touch.  You are my true family.  Loves you so much, Román Benavides" (Tegucigalpa, Honduras).

Please help us pray for the following:

  • Snail mail is taking most of our budget. Please pray for more funds to meet our projects and work.
  • Our printers broke down this month due to the heavy loads and since they are old already.
  • We need to buy 50,000 evangelism tracts to continue passing them on, especially where there is no church planted.
  • We need to get 5000 New Testaments.
May the Lord of the Harvest pay you for your great efforts in helping us in this ministry.  You minister to others through us.  May we continue sharing Christ with the world.  Millions are out there waiting for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Partners in His service,

Alfredo José Aparicio

ARM's Branch Ministry in Russia
Recent Report From Dr. Nicholas E. Alyoshin

Glory to Christ my beloved brother!
This is my brief report for February 2007.

1.IMMERSIONS. Two Russians (man and woman), contacting with our chaplaincy and ethnically considering themselves to be the "orthodoxes", have understood the Spiritual necessity of the Christian full immersion and received it in DOM ARM.

2.PRISONS. During the night since 17.02.07 to 18.02.07 K.G. Meshchishin died in Krasnodar prison from the heart attack. He was tortured with electricity to give the "evidence" against brethren. He kept silence, his body had the clear traces of the torments. When the heart attack had begun, his co-prisoners tried to call the doctor, but no doctor came to help. The prisoners rang up to Meshchishin's mother with the mobile phone, undergroundly kept in the prison, and informed her about the death, though the prison authorities tried to keep all in secret. The body was buried on 20.02.2007.
S.L. Krupetskiy - the former vice-mayor of Krasnodar (and most pro-western one) was arrested three years ago and kept in prison camp in Siberia. The brethren to be in contact with DOM ARM managed to organize his transfer from there to the prison camp near Krasnodar (not far from Elizavetinskaya village; we were photographed with Joe Garman in front of the gates of that camp) in the end of 2006. And now they managed to organize for him the "vacations" for 13 days to live at home (since 08.02.07 till 21.02.07).

3.MOSLEMS. On 23.02.2007 we had the praying meeting with the representatives of the Turks - Meskhetians, Chechens and Kurds to commemorate the beginning of the Stalin deportation of the Caucasian peoples in 1944. I also had 3 separate meetings with the Ahiska Turks to preach to them and to give them the New Testaments in Turkish. Some Bibles were sent to the Turks and Kurds, living in our territory mountains, with the post parcels.

4.MISSION  TRIPS. Our brethren visited Abkhazia and met there the so called "young bishops" - the priests, who didn't want to be under either Moscow or Tbilisy orthodox patriarchates. Those priests in their council declared themselves to be the bishops. They now control some Christian objects of the big importance (including the central cathedral in Sukhum and the so called "New Athos" monastery - the place of the legendary activity of the Saint Apostle Simon the Canaanite, called also Zelotes - Mt., 10:4; Lk., 6:15; Ac., 1:13). The "young bishops", including Andrew Ampara, are ready to contact with the true Christians.

5.MEDITATION. The Lord Almighty has revealed the true essence of the icon-worshipping orthodoxy. During his press-conference on 01.02.2007 Putin named the nuclear weapons and the orthodoxy to be the "main components of the national security of Russia". During the next press-conference and speech (on 10.02.2007 in Munich) he declared, that the national security of Russia included the resistance to USA anti-missile systems; the resistance to NATO; the changing of the structure and function of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe); the Russia state control for the foreign non-government and non-commercial organizations. Thus, the icon-worshipping orthodoxy has openly been declared to be the state security system component. This fact is now clearly determinating the position of the non-orthodox Chistians in Russia.

6.DIVINE  ACTION. The authorities of the Krasnodar Territory resort Sochi (the main Russian one on the Black Sea Coast; it has also the Caucasus ski resort part) asked the International Olympic Commitee to name Sochi the capital of the 2014 Winter Olympics. The city authorities, in order to receive the "supernatural help", had built before the IOC commission arrival to Sochi three huge idols (70 m and 100 m height bell towers and 60 m column with the sculpture of the "angel") in the main points of the city center. Those idolatrists have received the Divine reply, indeed: the first snow in this very tender winter broke the high voltage electric line and 400 000 inhabitants of the Russian Black Sea coast - from Tuapse to the border of Georgia, including all the city of Sochi, - were without electricity since 29.01.2007 till 06.02.2007. And the second snow has broken the natural gas pipe-line, and 60 000 of the inhabitants of the Sochi central district were without warmth in their flats since 22.02.2007. And it is planned now to give them gas somewhere on 20.03.2007. You see: "He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision" (Ps., 2:4). And further: "Thon shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel" (Ps., 2:9)!

7.STUDENT  WING. My daughter Nike took part (as a coordinator of the Krasnodar Christian student group) in the all-Russia Christian student conference near St.-Petersburg (28.01.07 - 03.02.07). It was organized by "Campus Crusade for Christ".

8.PUBLIC  RELATIONS. I spoke about DOM ARM and about Christian position at 4 big conferences (two of them - international) in Krasnodar. One of them (20.02.07) was dedicated to the fight with the corruption of the state apparatus in Russia. During this conference I was actively using the big manual - "Business Ethics", - issued by the Ministry of Trade of the USA and published by the "Amcham" (American Chamber of Commerce of the US Embassy in Moscow) in Russian. The book was donated to us through our Moscow branch (my sister Nataly Koff).

9.REPRESSIONS. On 04.02.2007 Hassan Gurji-ogly paid to the kidnappers, and his son and nephew were returned to him. On 09.02.2007 the attempt of a burglary and an invasion into the flat of our bro Eugene Novozhilov in Krasnodar took place. On 15.02.2007 the Krasnodar Territory Governor Tkachyov had the meeting with the religious group of the so called "old believers" Christians. Their community for about 170 years had been living in the so called Imeretin Valley of Sochi. Now Tkachyov wants to demolish the community, to crush their houses, to confiscate their lands and to deportate them in order to build "The Olympic Park" ("Olympic Village", Ice palaces, etc.). The same situation is with the Moslem communities in the mountains near Sochi, where the ski objects are planned to be built.

10.SUPPORT. I received the January support through "We - Go" system of Max Goins OK. Max also sent to me the card for future. We received also the very warm e-mails of support from Joe Garman, Bill Blair, Rod Farthing (USA) and from Evangelical Alliance of Germany. We received also the letter from prof. T.W. Hunt (USA) and the telephone call from pastor Dr. G. Leiser (Germany). God bless You all!

In Jesus our hope! Sincerely,  DOM ARM chaplain,  Nicholas E. Alyoshin

ARM's Branch Ministry in Thailand
ARM's Branch Minister in Thailand is Boonlerd Chomphukeeree

Boonlerd reports that there are 18 girls who have applied to stay at the home upon their release from prison. Unfortunately, there is only room for 13 in the current facility. We desperately need to begin construction on the permanent building this year. Several of the girls will complete their secondary education in the near future and funds will be needed to help them further their education. The industrial sewing machines are now in place and the girls are being trained to sew handbags. They work on orders from a factory in the Chiang Mai area. Several women ex-prisoners are also being trained.

Thank you for being there for these girls. With your continued support, we will be there for them at Daughters of Ruth for many years to come. God bless you.

Serving together, Cheryl L. Hoyer
