ARM's Branch Ministry in ThailandARM's Branch Minister in Thailand is Boonlerd ChompukeereeDaughters of Ruth: Things are going well as Boonlerd and family work with the girls. At last report, there were SIX girls in the new home -- more may be inducted any day now. We only have room for 13 in the rented facility. We will need our home (like Rapha House) soon. This is a fast growing ministry! We have raised about 75% of the target goal of $25,000 for the land. We have an anonymous donor who will match the $25,000 to bring us to the $50,000 we need to purchase the land next to the Bible College in Chiang Mai.Prison work:On 10 July 2006, we went to the Reformatory. The children told me that they wanted to play the guitar. On 17 -18 July 2006, I attended the seminar at the Department of Juvenile corrections on the children rights. On that day, Brother Atapa brought Mr. Duane Crumb, Director of HIV Hope to visit me too. I took them to meet the Director of the Reformatory. We had a long conversation on many subjects. On 20 July 2006, Brother Atapa came to visit me with the youth team who are the volunteers from the U. S. A. I took them to visit the Reformatory to meet the children too. We did many activities together and the children there were very excited that there were people from the U.S came to visit them. The children asked them many questions. On 24 July 2006, we did not go to Phayao Prison as we had planned before because we did not have the vehicle to go there. So the team and I went to the Reformatory instead. On 31 July 2006, we did not go to Fang Prison as we had planned before because we did not have the vehicle to go there. (Please pray for us in this problem too.)The work of Daughters of Ruth – Thailand:We have started to give training to the children as follows:
- How to make a blanket. This is a hand made work. Everything is done by hand from patching the small pieces of cloth to make a big piece. It is quite a challenging work.
- How to make a neck tie. We will do needle work with the designs of the hill tribe on the cloth and then cut and sew to make a neck tie.
- How to make a bookmark. We will use the cloth which has the needle work with the hill tribe designs to make a bookmark for the Bible.
- We will get the needle work order from the factory for the children to try to do the needle work with the designs of animals, flowers or trees, according to the orders.
- We will teach the children to make cards to be used for several occasions, such as for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Christmas.
- We have taught the children to make bracelets from the materials that we have. I can see that they can make beautiful ones.
In the future, we would like to have tools to be used in doing the work, such as sewing machines, and other accessories necessary to do other kinds of training.Christian Work for love in Jesus Christ:Almost every morning at about 5.00 hrs, we hear the voice of a woman who stops in front of our house and she will curse loudly in the language that is hard to understand while she is looking at our building. I asked other people who live in the neighborhood about that woman. They said that she lived around here but she is insane. In the past, she had a husband but later when she became insane, her husband left her. She now lives alone as we see her. We pray for her every night asking the Lord to give as ways to explain about Jesus to her.One Sunday afternoon, while we were praying for our new members in the house, there was a man who had severe blisters all over his body came to sleep in front of our house. He then urinated and excreted in front of our house. All the children in the house were afraid of that stranger. So I went to ask him where he lived. He said that he lived in the next lane not far from here. I asked him why he came to lay down in front of our house. He said that he was very tired and would like to sleep awhile. So I told him to take his time and sleep there. I also told him about the story of Jesus and gave him the brochures and some money. These were the two people whom we pray for seriously and we plan to go visit them at their house to announce the gospel of Jesus the Lord to them. Please pray for these two, too.May God blessing be with you. Love in Jesus Christ. Boonlerd Chomphukeeree.Gifts of any size may be sent to ARM -Thailand, Rt. 5 Box 159, Salem, MO 65560
ARM's Branch Ministry in Mexico
ARM's Branch Minister in Mexico is Alfredo José AparicioDear Bro. Rod:In the following report I changed part of the name of the brother from Cuba because they can have a lot of problems with this information. Just in Mexico we have students in 40 jails, but we have students in another 50 jails in Latinamrica. In many cases, nobody else can go inside those jails, just our ministry. I forgot to send you my June report. I sent to brother Joe Garman, but not to you. I'm so sorry. Please pray for our ministry. We need to print a lot of Bible courses, but we need more resources.Your servant in Jesus Name, Alfredo José Aparicio=========================
Dear brethren in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:
Our Almighty Lord, Who left us His perfect Word in the Bible, be with you, guiding your lives and ministries, as well as the lives your loved ones.
We founded a new congregation in the city of Holguín, Cuba. A man named Dayanés, working as a spy for the Cuban Federal Government, was assigned to intercept suspicious international mail, open it, and read the contents. Many of the packages he opened were destined to our students. These packages contained audio tapes, the Jesus film, Bible courses, Bibles, and other Christian materials and literature. As Dayanés listened and saw the videos and Christian literature, he saw God talking to him personally through these materials. He turned and surrendered to Jesus after watching the film Jesus. He is using our materials he confiscated to teach the local congregation he started. He resigned from working as a spy, and he is so grateful to the Lord as he is serving and honoring Him now.
From the city of Minatitlán, State of Veracruz, I got a letter from Alberto Lara Solís. He states, "You do not know me, but I wish to share with you that I am reading and learning a lot from a Bible you sent to one of your Bible students. I was facing very bad moments here in jail where I was sentenced to 26 years. I know I am a sinner, and I had in mind to commit suicide. I had fixed the date: the night of July 6th. That night, on my way to my cell, I encountered "Al Yépez". He was reading his Bible. As if someone pushed me to him, I approached his cell. As soon as I asked what he was reading, he took the opportunity to give me a whole lecture. He spoke so
nice, that I asked him if I could borrow his book, the Bible. Now, I am so grateful to you. You give us, prisoners, hope, as you do with many other people, I am sure. I have decided not to touch and harm myself. I have been reading the Bible, and I came to the conclusion that if God forgives the sinners, I have hope and can be forgiven also. God will do wonders in my
life from now on. Now, I do not worry if I am in jail or not. What I want to become is a Child of God. Please help me accomplish this!"Please pray a lot for Mexico. We are living some type of anarchy now. The left party wants to rule for six years, and it is creating lots of social problems and instability. If they occupy the Presidency, we would face many problems and would be going back to a terrible past. However, the political party in office now has also favored the Catholic Church and has ruled the lives of many Mexicans, especially the ones living in far parts of the Country. How true it is that only God has a better future for all of us! Let's praise Him for His victory on the cross! With great gratitude in my heart, as you have helped us a lot to expand the Kingdom of God among Hispanics.Alfredo José Aparicio
Rod: I become more and more amazed and in prayer for your continued success each month. Rapha house is such a blessing, as are your other world wide ministries. God Bless you. Love Herb P
I JUST READ A FICTION BOOK BASED ON A GIRL'S LIFE FROM NEPAL (WHERE OUR
GRANDSON IS FROM) WHO WAS SOLD BY HER PARENTS INTO PROSTITUTION. SAD, SAD
I COULD HARDLY READ IT! THANK YOU FOR SUCH WORK...BARBThanks, Rod! It is becoming more apparent that the work of "restoring" is world-wide, and that the numbers out of the USA are probably greater than here. As those people become indigenous and evangelize others, the virtuous cycle will increase. LP
ARM's Branch Ministry in Russia
Report From Dr. Nicholas E. Alyoshin, ARM Chaplain in Krasnodar, RussiaGlory to Christ, my beloved bro! This is my report for August 2006.
In August two former convicts, repressed on religious basis, were immersed and entered our Brotherhood. On 03.08.2006 I met the victims (non-adult boys) of the police brutality in Sochi: there the special police detachment, trying to "punish" some adults, had attacked the children camp and heavily injured about 60 young persons. Four servicemen were arrested after it. I met also the parents of the victims.
Our chaplaincy had a one-day expedition to the place of the excavation of the capital of the Pontic Kingdom (to watch the traces of the Apostolic Christianity - Acts, 2:9; 18; 2; 1 Pet., 1:1) on Taman peninsula.
On the 16.08.2006 I spoke at the seminar of MacArthur Foundation in Krasnodar about ARM work to defend the Religious Freedoms (in cooperation with the Freedom of Conscience section of Novorossiysk Committee for Human Rights). My information was accepted positively. You may contact the Foundation staff-quarter in Chicago.
My research of the Religious landscape in the Northern Caucasus let me find the evidence of the strict cooperation between Russian swastika-worshippers (on the level of Kondratenko - former Krasnodar Territory Governor and today state Duma of Russia deputy) and Lebanese "Hesbollah." Thus, the US President G.W. Bush, having said in his speech on 10.08.2006 about the "Islamic Fascism" as the enemy of freedom, was quite right. In Jesus our hope! Sincerely, DOM ARM chaplain, Nicholas E. Alyoshin

ARM's Branch Ministry in KoreaSang-Ho Kim and his team are ARM Chaplains in KoreaWarm Christian greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I can do my best to the ministry for prisoners owing to your pray and love. I really appreciate it.Nowadays, we visit 9 prisons and 2 reformatories 14 times a month. We preach to them, support the Bibles and books about the religion, counsel and help training discipleship. We have the interests that awarding the scholarships, supporting the living expensive to inmate's family and sending some gifts on the holiday. It is very important to care the released. We help them to get a job and to live earnestly and religious life.We evangelized to 25,000 people and baptized to 330 people on 2005. Especially, we hold the "Winter Bible Camp" with 200 students at the Daejeon teenagers' reformatory on Jan 17th to 19th. They all were receptive Jesus Christ and took the Communion service and the Maundy. We have much interest to help some brothers' families. The brothers who are almost the condemned figure as an evangelist in the prison. We take care about 84 families. They are almost divorced family and poor. We visit them and counsel by a phone. And we try to evangelize to them. Youngju Kim, a condemned criminal for killing one person, does his best to evangelize his best. His wife ran away from home, so his 12year old son lives with his grandfather. We've visited and supported living expenses to Youngju's family.
And We presented Bibles/Hymns and Christian magazines to 1300 people due to your support. This ministry is very precious. It is a strong point of mission to the prison that new prisoners come there successively. But a majority isn't concerned about them and disregard in Korea. So there is little helper. It becomes remote from the mission to the prison for the difficult state economy. There are lots of asks to us.We set up sisterhood relationship with 7 foreign inmates: Russian, Mongol, Bengali, Chinese, Indonesian . There are about 300 foreigners at Daejeon Prison. We hope they will evangelize after returning to their countries. Batt's father and his family have visited him from Mongol some days ago. They were impressed to our ministry and Christianity. They want to visit us again. We support some released inmates for their lodging and keeping faith to Jesus. I've had relationship with Myungsuk Lee and taught Bibles to him for 14 years. Myungsuk Lee who had been a gang and served his full time (20 years) for homicide attends sophomore of theological Seminary. He wanted to engage in Christian mission workI hope you are always joyful and peace in Our Lord. May God bless you and ARM MissionSincerely Yours, Sang Ho Kim Stump Brothers Mission
