In His Service, Rod Farthing, National Development Director ARM is ministering to needy girls in Battambang, Cambodia, through
the Rapha House. These girls have been victimized in the human slave
trade. Some are as young as 5 years of age. As the number of
girls continues to grow -- we've just doubled our residential
capacity with a SECOND Rapha House! We appreciate
those who can continue to support -- and perhaps increase that
support -- as we soon double the number of girls at the home.
Dear Sourm, Cambodian Director of Rapha House, files a report each
month; here are excerpts from his latest:
1. American Rehabilitation Ministries
Rapha House with support from ARM international is supporting 54 girls at
the Rapha House and 10 girls at the Half-way Home for reintegration.
2. New school term has been resumed in
Cambodia from the first week of October, after the summer vacations. There
are twenty girls of various age groups will be attending the school this
term. The Rapha House has made sure that all the girls attending the
school have proper uniforms, books, stationeries, and other writing
materials at their disposal before going back to school. Since the number
of girls going to school has been steadily increasing, the Rapha House is
facing a bit problem of transportation of these girls from Rapha House to
school and back. We need a larger, better
vehicle.
3. The construction of new building is
going smoothly as per schedule and, according to my information, 95% of
the work has been completed on the construction side. But still a
lot of finishing work needs to be done -- whitewashing, painting, electric
wiring, etc.
As mentioned above, ARM has built a SECOND house on the Rapha
House compound to increase our capacity to 100. The
first home was built for 48 -- we have 54 there now. The staff
has been preparing in every way possible to be able to care for additional
girls. Additional operational expenses will be needed as we
serve even more girls. Thanks!

ARM's Minister in Thailand is Boonlerd
Chompukeeree
This month Brother Joe Garman and Brother Don Todd came to visit us in Thailand. They brought with them lots of God's blessing. The girls were particularly happy because everyone received gifts and toys from them. The Daughters of Ruth Home has many new things, such as sports equipment, benches, guitars and a stereo. Lots of our girls have decided to have faith in Jesus Christ and eleven were baptized. We went to announce the Gospel in several of prisons and there were many prisoners who were baptized: 1) In the Prison for women in Chiang Mai, 23 persons were baptized; 2) In Phayao Prison, 2 were baptized; 3) In Fang Prison, 27 were baptized. And in the Juvenile Centers in Chiang Mai, eleven young people made the Good Confession. May God guide each of these people life as He wish always. Love in Jesus
Christ the Lord, Boonlerd Chompukeeree
Editor's note: Our "Daughters of
Ruth" rented facility is being stretched to the max! We hope to
build soon on property purchased recently.

Report From Alfredo José Aparicio Dear brethren in Christ, I am so pleased and happy to
greet you once more. I know God is guiding us in the ministry and you in
your personal lives as well. I had plans to write you before, but new things never stopped happening in the ministry and I did not find the time until today. For example, on October 1, I got up at 5:40 to pray. Then, I got dressed and had breakfast. I was leaving home at 6:30, but a neighbor came to visit. He was so concerned for his life. He is a lawyer, and that very day he was facing many difficult cases in Court. He took a case from drug dealers. First, he did not know these people were drug dealers. However, his life was in danger if he did not win the case. He was offered a lot of money in order to make things fall in favor of these people. I shared with him about our Mighty Lord and we prayed together. Riding the bus to my office in
Mexico City, that same morning, I counseled a couple. They had a baby girl
with them, but they were fighting so much and the baby was crying. So, I
approached them and offered them some advice. They accepted the Lord in
the bus, and will meet with the brethren in one Church located in Mexico
City. The traffic was so terrible in Mexico City, and I needed to be in my
office, that I took the electric train instead of my normal
transportation. As soon as I got to my office, there was a tall heavy man
waiting for me. He is a pastor and needed counseling and Bible Teaching to
share with his congregation. As I was finishing talking to him, a phone
call came in. It was brother Domingo Solís, from Los Reyes, State of
Michoacán. He came to the Lord's feet through our ministry. I counseled
him on how to treat epilepsy, which his son suffers from. All my day was
so hectic. But, I went back home at 5:00 pm, as I needed to prepare in
order to start and evangelism campaign the next day, at Satélite Christian
Church in Cuernavaca. But, when I was getting ready to eat dinner, at
10:30 pm, I got a call from a young man from the Church, Kirano Gutiérrez
(20). He had a very strong pain, and my wife and I took him to the Red
Cross, where he was treated. With out having dinner, I went to bed at 1:00
am. However, this is nothing
compared to the harvest in the ministry. During September, we had 39
baptisms. Most of these new born are young people in their early 20s.
Also, 237 people graduated from our basic lessons, and 68 people graduated
from all of our more than 50 Bible lessons. During this month, we had
2,114 new students register in our basic courses. Also, we have the
privilege to share with you that we have planted two new congregations in
Cuba. These are located in the Province of Holguín, Mayarí and
Banes. We started sharing our Bible
courses in the jails located in Navojoa, state of Sonora, Minatitlán in
Veracruz, Villahermosa in Tabasco, and in Zacatlán state of Puebla. We
have 718 new inmates studying the Bible. It is encouraging to see that 12
of our inmates studying the Bible showed a good behavior and they were
released and are now living at home and with their families, enjoying the
Christian life. In Mexico, we celebrate our Independence from Spain on September 16. It was so encouraging to celebrate our Independence by planting another congregation. This one is located in our own office. Our members come from the Bible Correspondence Courses. People and families in our area, where our office is located, need the Lord so much, as they are poor, drug dealers, drug addicts, and so on. The Lord is working in their lives now. We are gathering with people who are hard, harsh, and difficult to win for the Lord. God is able to work in their hearts! Please continue praying for us, and the ministry.
I am so grateful to you for all of your help, Yours in Christ Jesus, Alfredo José
Aparicio

beloved brother!
This is my brief report for September 2007. 1. IMMERSIONS. On 30.09.2007 I immersed Mr. Alexander SHAMPAROV. This took place in the centre of Krasnodar, in Kuban river, at 17 hours. That day was the local city holyday - "The Day of Krasnodar" (214 years of its foundation), and crowds of the walking people were our witnesses. Shamparov is the leader of the human rights organization; he is actively working in courts to return the property of the people, whose predecessors were repressed by Stalin and whose property was confiscated by the political police. Shamparov was an active Slavonic pagan. I have been preaching Christ to him for two last years. And the Holy Spirit has converted this heathen wolf into the Christian lamb, indeed. Alleluia! Here is picture we took: ![]() 2. PRISONS. On 16.09. - 23.09.2007 a mutiny took place in the famous prison "The Crosses" (in Russian "Kresty") in Saint-Petersburg. In the same time 6 convicts run away from the prison camp near Eisk (250 km NE from Krasnodar; a port on the Azov Sea coast). Different incidents took place in the same period in dozens of Russian prisons and camps, because the underground leaders of the convicts tried to influence the process of the formation of the new Russian Government (prime-minister Zubkov was appointed by Putin instead of Fradkov; new prime-minister was thinking over the personal content of his Government). On 22.09.2007 I met with one of the leaders of the movement of Grigoriy Grabovoy (Grabovoy declared himself to be a new "prophet"; since April 2006 he has been kept in prison in Moscow). Those people have established "the Commitee to liberate Grigoriy Grabovoy" (without official registration, nearly undergroundly). They want me to consult them in different spiritual questions and the Religious Freedoms sphere. 3. MOSLEMS. On 15.09.2007 and on 16.09.2007 I had the meetings with the leaders of the "International Commitee on the problems of the Meskhetian Turks (Ahiska)". This commitee was created in USA by the Ahiska elder Sarwar Tedorov (he left Russia in 2006; when he lived in Krasnodar Territory, he named me "brother") in contact with Steve Swerdlow (the US State Department consultant) and Michael A. Arcuri (the Member of the House of Representatives of the Congress of the United States; Washington, DC 20515-3224, 327 Cannon House Office Building; 202-225-3665; fax 202-225-1891). In Russia it must work as the public movement without official registration. I am supporting the leaders of this movement spiritually (including the spreading of the New Testaments in Turkish among them). My good friend Hasan Gurji-ogly (the hereditary sheih of the Kurdish tribe of the Curmanjes in Krasnodar Territory) has been appointed the deputy mufti of the Moslems of the Adyg Republic and Krasnodar Territory - the Coordinator of the Moslems of Krasnodar Territory. Thus, we have received the possibility to touch "the heart" of the Moslem movement in Krasnodar Territory and Adyg Republic. On 29.09.2007 I had a meeting with Hasan to discuss the possibility for him to take part in the humanitarian actions in prisons and prison camps. In Jesus our hope! Sincerely, N.E. Alyoshin--DOM ARM chaplain, prof.,
etc.
