Daughters of Ruth Girls Home in Chiang Mai, Thailand

The Daughters of Ruth Foundation is the only mission or its kind in Thailand. We are registered as an NGO with the Thai government and are licensed as a safe house for girls. This star features a picture of one of our Daughters of Ruth in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

I am asking you to join me in ministering to these girls. Upon receiving your gift of $10 or more, we will send you a receipt and a star like the one pictured, that you can hang in your home or office.

Right now our girls live in a rented townhouse. We have 18 girls with eight more waiting to get in; one is only five years old. We need a larger facility, one that will house at least fifty girls. This will cost $135,000 to build. If you haven't given to DOR yet, your involvement could begin with this star.

These girls might well be facing life on the streets and countless other horrors if it were not for the Daughters of Ruth Foundation. It costs less for us to clothe, educate, feed and house these girls than it does for our government to rehabilitate one adult prisoner.

ARM Russian Report

Glory to Christ, my beloved brother! This is my brief report for October 2008.

1. IMMERSIONS. Five convicts were immersed in the prison camp No. 102 near Simferopol (Crimea, Ukraine) by two elders, ordained by me. The total number of the immersed in that camp by the DOM ARM ministers has reached the level of eleven convicts.

2. PRISONS. On 25.10.2008 I was a honourary chairman of the annual meeting of the "Aibolit" society in Simferopol (Crimea, Ukraine). We signed the treaty about partnership between the DOM ARM and this society and now I am their chaplain. "Aibolit" has the permission of the Crimea prison authorities to enter the prisons and prison camps, while no Religious congregation (except the orthodox church and Moslems) has such a permission. Thus, all Protestant churches (Christian ones, the Baptists, the Pentecosts, the Charismatic ones, etc.) and Jewish communities are to enter the "Aibolit" (as the "umbrella") to enter the prisons. There were the representatives of the prison ministries of 10 churches to participate the "Aibolit" annual meeting. They decided to honour me with putting of the plaque with the inscription "American Rehabilitation Ministry. Chaplain prof. N.E. Alyoshin" on the wall of the "Aibolit" office. During the meeting I preached on Isaiah, 40. Then we all prayed together for the ARM, for Joe Garman, Rod Farthing, Max Goins and other Lord's ministers.

3. MOSLEMS. On 06.10.2008 I organized in my house in Krasnodar a meeting of pastor Dr. Gerhard Leiser (Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany) who is the Spiritual brother of DOM ARM in Germany, with the Kurdish (Curmanj) sheikh Hasan-hagi Gurji-ogly, who lives in the mountains of the Apsheronsk district of Krasnodar Territory with his tribe. Pastor Leiser was impressed very much with my story about the Apostolic Act of brethren Joe Garman and Max Goins with the Turks-Meskhetians (Ahiska-Turks) in our Territory. Thus, he decided to Evangelize the Kurdish tribe of Curmanjis. He brought from Germany the Bibles in their dialect. Sheikh Hasan accepted those books and even read them aloud for us in the Kurdish, while we were sitting under the Church Flag, which was donated to DOM ARM by the Christians of Joplin (Missouri, USA).

During my expedition to Crimea on 22-28.10.2008 I had the official and private meetings with Refat-bey Chubarov (1-st vice-president of the "Milli Mejlis", i.e. the National Government of the Crimea Tatars), Ali-bey Hamzin (the chief of the Mejlis foreign relations department), Dr. Elveddin Chubarov, Dr. E. Seidametov, I. Abdullaev, N. Abdulvaap, and other political, religious and intellectual leaders of the Crimea Tatars (or, as some of them want now to name themselves, - Qirimtatars). Ali-bey Hamzin has accepted from me a gift – the book of the Holy Bible in Qirimtatarian language.

In Jesus our hope! Sincerely, DOM ARM (www.ARM.org) chaplain, prof., etc. Nicholas E. Alyoshin

ARM Mexican Report

Dear friends in our Lord Jesus Christ,

My prayers and strong wishes are that the Lord may be blessing you in powerful ways.  Due to economic problems and shortages in the State of Morelos, Mexico, we were asked to contribute with groceries to be given to an orphanage in Totolapan, Morelos.  This place shelters from 35 to 40 children, all indigenous people.  However, when we arrived to the orphanage, there was a meeting of over 380 adults plus their children (72).  They belong to an indigenous tribe in Tlapa, State of Guerrero.  These people belong to the mountains in Guerrero, but they do come down to the plains and all over Mexico looking for work.  They are employed harvesting tomato, hot peppers, cucumber, grapes, and so on.  Their daily wages is only around $9.00 Most of these families have ten children of their own.  So, malnutrition is high and a big problem among them.  These people are indeed experienced peasants, but can only eat once every three days, and their diet is bad.  They do not allow anyone to take their picture, but I was able to take some as I talked to them.  Most of them only speak Tlapaneco, their indigenous language.  The ones speaking Spanish are so eager to study God's wonderful Word.  I used a translator to communicate with them and present God's Salvation Plan.  They are so thirsty and hungry for God's Kingdom.

One family, strong Catholic family living in Cuernavaca, Morelos (Mexico) contacted me since they needed help with their 17-year-old daughter.  She used to listen to satanic music and she became possessed by demons.  They had gone to the Catholic priest for help, but the problems got worse.  The family was desperate.  My family and I had been fasting for 40 days because of our Youth Conference, and so we dedicated one whole day to this Young woman.  Alejandra, this young lady, showed improvement with our fasting and praying.  Now, all in the family, the Lagunas family, are attending church.  They have seen God's power to be real and true.

Even though we, Mexicans, live in so much poverty, it is amazing how our culture is one of those which spend big amounts of Money on idolatry, traditionalism, and customs.  The poor do not have enough money to see a doctor when they get sick, but they go to the herbs doctor, a witch doctor, or Satanism.  That is the case of a lady by the name of Mrs. Cirila García.  She was so sick that she hired a witch doctor, who she paid with goats, cows, sheep, and even chickens.  However, that did not help.  So, she had to borrow $6,000.00 to go and see a real doctor.  Her husband, Fidel Cano Toribio, is so worried now, as they have nothing left.  Besides, they have nine children.  I took this opportunity and shared the Gospel with them.  God is our Doctor and Healer.

We had the privilege, in our ministry, to register 2,014 new students in our Bible Correspondence Courses.  46 of our students got baptized.  116 of our students graduated from our Bible Correspondence Courses.

Now, let me share with a testimony from one of our Bible students.
"Dear Director, I am so pleased to get in touch with you.  I had the privilege to visit Rome a year ago…  I went to the Vatican to reinstate my faith in Catholicism.  On my way back, as I waited to take my plane to Manila, a man approached me and talked to me about the greatness and gift of Jesus Christ to the world, in Spanish.  He shared with me about the wonderful things Jesus came to do on earth, and how He can change lives.  As I was getting ready to get on board, he handed me a tract entitled "This was your life".  I read it and was amazed at its message.  I requested your courses announced in that tract, and I am so happy for the way you are taking me by the hand in the knowledge of the Bible.  I went to the Vatican searching a blessing, but I can see the great blessing I got from you.   I like your teachings so much that now I am sharing it with my wife and family (three children).  Also, I am sharing the Word of God with my six siblings, in-laws, and relatives.  On weekends, we get together and we are reading the small Bible you sent me.  We read for two hours.  I hope to share more great news with you soon.  I send you my best regards and wishes.  God bless you and your work team.  Yours, Martín Jumpao (32).  I am living in Malolos, Bulacán, The Philippines.
THANK YOU for your much needed prayers.
We love you in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior!   --  Alfredo José Aparicio
