Daughters of Ruth Recipe
by Joe R. Garman

Jesus girded Himself with a towel (God’s greatest servants wear aprons),
So come on into our kitchen of love, And join us in cooking for Heaven.

Take a football-sized field on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, Thailand and insert a dormitory.

Pour in a few flowers and fruit trees.

Add 50 girls ages 8 to 18 who have recently been released from detention or have parents in prison.

Toss in a public school education and membership in the Girl Scouts for the young girls - community college or tech school for the older ones.

Spice with a committed and dedicated Christian staff.

Flavor with devotions, prayer time, and worship services on Sundays.

Mix in one-on-one counseling and let the words simmer.

Cover generously with encouragement, hope, patience and understanding.

Soak thoroughly with fervent prayer.

Stir constantly with praise.

Allow time for them to rise and mature in Christ.

Bake with a handful of devoted and hard working student volunteers from the nearby Lanna Christian College.

Sprinkle them back into society so others can savor their sweet aroma.

When done, sit down, relax, and take a deep breath.

Then repeat the entire process all over again, feeding as many as you possibly can.

May what you do for these girls
Warm your heart on a cold winter’s night,
May you take comfort in knowing
That you have made their burden light.
May you find fulfillment in helping provide
A safe-harbor from danger and storm,
You have paved the way for a few more girls
To find their way to the Father’s throne.

"Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these… even the least of them, you did it to Me." Jesus (Matthew 25:40)
