UNHINDERED Quick! Can you name the word which ends the Book of Acts in the New American Standard Bible? It is a very powerful word which describes Paul’s advancement of the Gospel and how this Good News would continue throughout all generations until the Lord returns. The N.A.S.B. closes the book of Acts with these verses: "And he stayed two full years in his own rented quarters, and was welcoming all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all openness, UNHINDERED." The Book of Acts closes with an encouraging word and provides an excellent example for any ministry to follow--"welcoming all who came to him, preaching...and teaching...with all openness, UNHINDERED." A.R.M. is a ministry which has diligently modeled its outreach after this pattern. Joe Garman started a Bible correspondence program (the American Bible Academy) which opened its doors to America’s county jails, military stockades, and both state and federal prisons "welcoming all who came to him." Since its inception, the American Bible Academy has never turned an inmate away from its free Bible correspondence program. This "welcoming mat" has gained the attention and respect of inmates and prison chaplains across this country and has welcomed over 82,000 inmates into the A.B.A.’s comprehensive Bible correspondence program! These dedicated students have completed over 135,000 advanced Bible courses! Today, the A.B.A. has an active student enrollment of over 36,000 inmates, and the A.B.A. is currently receiving and welcoming a new inmate’s request for enrollment every 27 minutes of every hour of every day!!! All of the A.B.A.’s courses are written by recognized Bible college professors and Christian educators who are committed to "preaching...and teaching...with all openness" the Word of Christ in the Spirit of Christ. This commitment has allowed the A.B.A. to provide advanced courses to inmates on a nation-wide scale and effectively teach and equip inmates who are serious about studying the Bible. Prison chaplains and inmates have come to respect and appreciate A.R.M.’s dedication to providing free, commercial quality, advanced, and Biblically based courses designed to proclaim the kingdom of God and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ! A.R.M.’s Bible courses easily enter into facilities ranging from county jails to super-maximum prisons and effectively minister to inmates in the general prison population as well as prisoners in solitary confinement. Bible courses have even brought inmates on San Quentin’s Death Row to faith in Christ and led them to request Christian baptism. (A.R.M. placed a portable baptistry in this Death Row, and 50 inmates were immersed the first Sunday it was used!) A.R.M.’s Bible courses provide a strong witness for Christ in jail and prison cells from coast to coast, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. This cost-effective program of A.R.M. insures that the Gospel Message is proclaimed simultaneously in all 50 states in a manner that is truly UNHINDERED! Thank you once again for your support which allows the A.B.A. to continue welcoming tens of thousands of inmates who are seeking Bible courses dedicated to preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the Lord Jesus Christ with all openness, UNHINDERED!!!
