A Message from Joe Welch--A.B.A.
Director
Greetings in the name of Jesus. You
have just accessed the website of one of America's
fastest growing Bible correspondence programs for men
& women who are incarcerated!
It is a blessing to express that the American Bible
Academy is sharing the Good News with over 50,000 active
students across the United States. God continues to
provide additional opportunities to proclaim the Gospel
with inmates who are trying to break free from the
bondage of sin and who are earnestly seeking the Savior.
In fact, a new student is enrolled in the A.B.A. every 18
minutes of every hour of every day!
This rapid growth is the direct result of God answering
the diligent prayers of His people and blessing the
outreach of A.R.M. Praise the Lord! Just think, as a
Christian who faithfully supports and prays for this
ministry, you are responsible for helping the A.B.A.
minister and teach a new inmate every 18 minutes of every
hour of every day!
If you are currently a faithful
"Prayer Warrior" and supporter of this vital
ministry, then please let me say, "Thank You!"
on behalf of 50,000 students. And if you have not yet had
an opportunity to support this work, then let me invite
you to begin praying for this expanding ministry and
encourage you to begin an ongoing partnership with A.R.M.
and the A.B.A. through your financial support.
Your faithful prayers and financial
support will allow the A.B.A. to continue providing
commercial quality textbooks and courses which are
written by respected Bible College Professors and
Christian Educators. All of our courses are
professionally typeset, printed, and bound into a
beautiful 120 page soft-cover textbook designed to meet
this criteria:
1) serve as an Evangelistic Tool which
will create an interest to study God's Word and help lead
inmates into a saving relationship with Jesus; 2) serve
as a Follow-up Tool which will continue to teach new
Christians, strengthen their faith, and ground them in
the Word of God; 3) serve as an Equipping Tool which will
train and equip students to effectively share their faith
with others, help them lead those people to Christ, and
play an active role in advancing the Lord's Kingdom.
When Christians consider the growing jail and prison
population, the words of Jesus will place a burden upon
our hearts for the lost, "The harvest is plentiful
but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest,
therefore, to send out workers into His harvest
field."
God has raised up a faithful prison ministry in A.R.M.
and the A.B.A.--a ministry which has diligently labored
in the Lord's harvest fields for 27 years; a ministry
whose heart has a pressing burden for the lost; a
ministry whose ears are sensitive to the voices of
prisoners who mourn for the hope, healing, and
forgiveness which only Jesus can provide; a ministry
whose loving arms are outstretched in joyful anticipation
of snatching sinners from the raging waves of sin and
bringing them into the Lord's love, mercy, and grace!
May you prayerfully consider joining our ministry in a
partnership which will continue to effectively share the
love and message of Christ with those who are seeking the
Savior!
In Christ,
Joe Welch
Director, A.B.A.
