Mission
Statement
ARM Prison Outreach is an arm
of the church to help fulfill the biblical
mandate of Jesus, "I was in prison and
you came to visit me," Matt 25:36, NIV.
Our specialized programs are designed to proclaim
the love and message of Jesus to the
incarcerated, help lead them into a saving and
personal relationship with the Savior, build them
up in the faith, and equip them for a lifetime of
faithful service in the Lords Kingdom. |
You may sponsor the placement of a Communion Table
Baptistry in your local prison or jail. These units are beautiful as
well as functional. Click on
here to see all the details. ARM has been donating these to
prisons and selling them to churches since the late 70's.
These baptistries weigh only 28 pounds and are the
size of a large suitcase, yet they hold up to 200 gallons of water and
unfold to a length of 70 inches. Click on
here to see all the details. They
are perfect for short term mission trips, hospitals, jails, retirement
centers, or youth camps where a Communion Table Baptistry is not
feasible. These also serve as a great foreign missions
project. Portable baptistries are now on more than 100 different
mission fields including: Russia, Siberia, Communist Red China, Cuba,
and Israel. As of July, 2011, ARM has donated 1,434 baptistries of both
types to jails and prisons across America.
A.R.M. offers "See Through The
Scriptures" in-prison seminars which Mr. Garman
teaches personally. This seminar is a twelve-hour program
taught over a period of three days inside the prison. It
is a structured program utilizing a workbook and 40
full-color overhead transparencies as teaching tools.
The
"See Through The Scriptures" seminar is also
available to churches who invite Mr. Garman to come and
teach.
A.B.A. is dedicated to providing high
quality, advanced Bible correspondence courses to the
incarcerated, at no cost, through our Inmate Scholarship
Program. All course material is written by respected
Bible College Professors or leading Christian Educators.
These professionally typeset, printed and bound courses
have been specifically written for use in the
A.B.A.s correspondence program. MESSAGE FROM JOE WELCH
AMERICAN MISSIONARY OUTREACH (A.M.O.) was established
to provide tracts and teaching materials for missionaries
overseas. Whenever possible, Mr. Garman travels overseas
for evangelistic campaigns and "See Through The
Scriptures" seminars. A.R.M. is truly the mission
with an ARM around the world.
ARM Prison Outreach (American Rehabilitation
Ministries) of Joplin, Missouri, is now partnering with the American
Bible Society of New York. ARM has been chosen as the national
distribution center for ABS to place Bibles in federal and state prisons
and local jails in the United States.
DaySpring Cards, a Christian greeting card company
generously donates millions of Christian greeting cards
to be distributed to federal and state prisons across the
United States. Each of these cards has an inspirational
Scripture text. Sometimes a tract is inserted inside the cards to share the Gospel and offer a free Bible
correspondence course to the prisoner. Close to five
million greeting cards are distributed annually.

Statement
of Faith
- We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three
persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity and supreme authority of Jesus
Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death,
bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the
Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe without reservation in the full and final
inspiration of the Bible, that is the infallible Word of
God, and thus the all-sufficient rule of faith and life.
- We believe in the reality of final judgment, heaven and
hell as taught in the Bible.
- We believe in the divine origin and character of the
church, and in the restoration of its unity and practice on
the New Testament basis.
- We believe man is saved by the grace of God through faith,
and that as taught in Scripture, man’s faith involves
repentance of sin, confession of faith in Christ, baptism by
immersion in water, and a life of faithfulness to Jesus and
His Word.
