IT WAS MR. MUSTARD IN THE DOCTORS OFFICE WITH AN AXE AND TWO 38S (ACTS TWO:THIRTY-EIGHT)
A few weeks ago I visited my doctor for a simple check-up. Before the exam I took a few minutes to explain A.R.M. Prison Outreach and handed him a packet of literature. Moments later he excused himself. When he returned he handed me an envelope containing a check for $975, the exact amount needed to sponsor a Communion Table Baptistry for the state prison at Vacaville, California.
A few days later I had an appointment with another doctor for a yearly check-up for skin cancers. Again, I took the opportunity to speak to him about A.R.M.. Three days later I received a check in the mail sponsoring a Communion Table Baptistry for the Richard Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego.
This morning I visited my Urologist for my annual Prostate check-up and discussed American Rehabilitation Ministries with him. He said, "Ralph, mail me some information on A.R.M. and I might put a check in the mail to sponsor a baptistry." I not only received that check, but also another check from one of the previously mentioned doctors sponsoring a second baptistry.
Friends, I am 79 years old and I enjoy assisting A.R.M. I just stepped down from the preaching pulpit after 57 very active years of ministry, and I have now committed myself to spend the balance of my years on earth working as a volunteer for A.R.M. One doctor asked me to join him as a guest at the Yuba-Sutter ministerial meeting, which I gladly accepted because that will surely open many new doors and opportunities for churches to become active sponsors of these much needed Communion Table Baptistries in our prison system.
Have a positive attitude and many great things will happen and the blessings will be magnified beyond measure.
