A Present Delivered to a Prison Cell
Feb 02 2026 15:38
Thirteen years into an 80-year sentence for murder, a 48-year-old man sits each day in a two-person cell with no windows, locked in for 18 hours at a time. In that darkness, ARM’s Bible studies have become a beacon of hope. He describes each lesson as “a present delivered to my cell from home,” a visible reminder that he has not been forgotten. The studies challenge him deeply, offering rich biblical and doctrinal teaching that strengthens his faith in Jesus and helps him endure his circumstances with renewed purpose. Because of faithful donors like you, God’s Word is reaching men and women in the hardest places, growing faith where hope can feel scarce.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for ARM’s team as they enter a men’s prison in mid-February to lead a three-day discipleship retreat for 70 incarcerated men. Ask the Lord to soften hearts, deepen repentance, and strengthen faith.
- Pray for the launch of ARM’s newest Bible study, Following Jesus: A Discipleship Journey for Life Inside , releasing in February. May God use it to unleash the prison church through obedience-based discipleship that transforms lives from the inside out.
- Many incarcerated men and women are asking for prayer for their children who are struggling with a parent’s incarceration. Pray for these families to experience healing and to find meaningful connection within a local church.
- Pray for a growing prayer movement that fuels the growth of the prison church. To find resources and join us in prayer, visit arm.org/pray.

Why it matters: A single act of encouragement becomes a tangible reminder that someone sees the incarcerated.
